The Kaukauna Wrestling Renovation Project is moving along very well. In May the two block walls separating the wrestling room, old training room, and strength room were removed and utilities were relocated. The 4 foot high block wall was extended into the new area and continued across the room to separate the new wrestling space of 6500 square feet of mat space from a strength and conditioning space of 1700 square feet. The walls have been cleared and all old lighting removed for new paint and lights to be installed by the end of June. This past Friday, June 10 a group of volunteers extended the spring floor into the new area shown in the photos below. Wall padding, new mats, fitness mirrors, chain link fencing, and strength room set-up will all be done following the paint and lighting around July 4th. The room should be fully functional for training at this point leaving just the new wall graphics and recognition plaques and boards displaying our proud history left to complete through the summer. Thanks to all volunteers who have contributed thus far and we will be counting additional help over the next four weeks.
